Rover Bits were made for working with wood! They work equally as well in softwood like pine or hardwood like oak, rosewood, or walnut. But don't stop there...use your Rover Bits to drill solid surface material and aluminum up to 1/8" thick. (Please do not use Rover Bits to drill stone or masonry.) From the chip-resistant carbide edge to the slim 6" shank for better maneuverability and greater depth of cut. With all the "best" qualities of a forstner bit, an auger bit, and a spade bit in one bit, a set of Rover Bits is an asset for any tool box. Rover Bits won't rip up material leaving cleaner flat-bottomed holes than the average bit. Drill vertically at any angle for holes up to 6" deep. And, if where you need to go isn't a straight shot, use Rover Bits' side-cutting capability to change direction while drilling to route wires and pipes around joists or to create jig-less pocket holes.

Bad Dog Rover bits are covered by a Lifetime Satisfaction Guarantee. We will repair or replace any Rover Bit that becomes dull or damaged.
Return the bit(s) along with $5 USD per Rover Bit for shipping and handling. Please note: Weight constraints limit replacement of Rover Bits to mail only. Sorry, they cannot be replaced at trade shows.

Round Holes:
Use like a traditional wood bit at any speed. Where
there is a possibility of hitting a nail, increase drilling speed to 2,500 rpm.
Quick Mortise™:
Install lock sets in record time with no secondary operations.
Simply drill a series of overlapping holes to desired width & connect by side cutting.
Drill at any speed. Sidecuts at 2,000 rpm.
Pocket Hole:
The strongest kind of screw joint. Use for building furniture
and other wood projects. Also great for keyholes.
Video How To
Carving:
Use Rover Bits for rough wood carving or to hog out material for insets.
Misc.:
Drill wood composites, particleboard or solid surface material with ease
(about 1,000 rpm) or thin aluminum, too, at about 2,000 rpm.
Roving™:
Cut through material at a variety of angles that are impossible with other drill bits.
Makes running wires or piping a snap. Use Rover Bits to make a groove for installation of wiring under flooring.
